Get Listeners Podcast ep. 1
At some point you signed up for my newsletter here “Get Listeners”. If podcasting isn't for you anymore, I totally understand… if you want to unsubscribe (easy peasy at the bottom or this page or here). And if you started following me just to stay plugged into my world, thank you for caring about my journey ☺️
For the remainder of this year, 2026, I'm going to post everything that I know about podcasting here in this newsletter and on my Instagram stories. I get asked daily how to start a podcast. Honestly, it's been really surprising because I thought the podcast popularity is over, but I guess you're still interested in that. I have a lot of knowledge and insights on how things move and roll. I know how stressful it is to feel like you constantly need to be perfect or know what the right answer is. I'll share with you everything that I know throughout the end of this year.
Most of what I'll share will be through the written word, not through videos, photos, or anything advanced or creative. I'm in a very introverted season of my life, and sharing with you calmly and quietly via the written word feels the most comfortable for me.
To give you a little background on my expertise, I've published well over 1,000 episodes. I've been podcasting for over a decade. I've traveled to over 100 countries celebrating women in tech, and I've interviewed so many of the community leaders and top executives. I've interviewed so many of the people moving Los Angeles tech forward.
I have two podcasts, and I've had two podcasts for a while. Over the years, I've also produced shows for major brands, as well as had another show that I'm really proud of called Hello Customer. In Hello Customer, I interviewed the top brands on how they delivered extraordinary customer experience, from Levi's to Zappos.
I stopped doing that show because the production time was so much longer than the production time for my other shows, and I just had to choose. Where we invest our time is where we invest our time, and so we can't possibly do everything. In this creator economy, we definitely try, but it's not good because we need to prioritize the things that matter: family, our well-being.
I think we're so caught up in this day and age of trying to keep up with the digital Joneses that we don't pay enough attention to the things that truly propel us forward. I hope in these candid shares throughout the end of the year, somehow it gives you the encouragement, insights, and steps you need to have tangible action items in your creator journey: something that will truly make a difference in your day.
If you have questions about podcasting, definitely hit reply.
All right bye for now, here's to the next episode. 💛

If you're looking to find sponsors for your podcast, I really trust Justin Moore, who just launched a brand research software called SponsorMole. To find out more, click on this link.
So you're in the loop, if you do decide to sign up for Sponsor Mole, I do get a small commission. I'm not promoting it for that reason. I truly, deeply, believe in Justin’s integrity and have witnessed his dedication to empowering content creators so they can make a sustainable living.
